In a grand finale packed at Brooklyn’s 3 Dollar Bill, the competition crowned its first winner: the multitalented visionary artist and musician, Klondyke. Livestreamed for the masses, the Cake Boys were able to present the competition for those at home - with animation and graphics to bring the show viewing to a new level. Not only was this competition the first chance for new performers to lipsync, but it was the first opportunity for the Cake Boys to combine our live shows with our digital presence. Judged by local nightlife staples, such as God Complex, Uncle Freak, C'etait Bontemps, and Untitled Queen, the performers were not eliminated, but instead given intentional feedback to further their drag. Also in 2020, Mo co-produced & hosted Kings of the World, a global cyber Drag King variety show and his silver jubilee virtual event showcasing Drag Kings with 25 or more years of experience. In January 2018, Mo teamed up with fellow Drag King Ken Vegas to co-create, a website dedicated to preserving this art form, which was archived by The U.S. He even crossed the stage in theater productions of Shakespeare with Borax Productions, original works by Mabou Mines, and the NYC Fringe Festival. Mo’s appearances expanded to indie films and television shows: Pecker by John Waters, Terror Firmer by Troma, Sex & the City, and Maury Povich.
