

Exploring the world feels very Tomb Raider at times. How you go about this is entirely up to you. Talking to people at you main base camp will give you clues as to where you have to travel and explore in the land of gods. I love exploring and seeing how far I can go so I'd opened up the world virtually straight away. As you fly you can pan the camera looking for clues and dungeons or points of interest. The transformation is seamless with a double tap of the X button. Playing as a girl, a shapshifter you can transform into a bird and sore high about the world on your quest to restore order and solve the mystery.

The world in AER is broken into sections that you can explore from the moment you get outside of the first dungeon. At first glance you'd think you were looking at Sony's very own Tearaway. I found my time playing a totally stress free and engaging experience. Words like "beautiful" "charming" and "relaxing" are not out of place when describing this game. Forgotten Key have been working on the game for five years and have pored love into this project and you can tell. It's a cluttered time for game releases You must have lots of faith in a game to do this. To go up against the likes of Assassins Creed, Wolfenstein and Call of Duty is one hell of a statement.

And will have you going through powering switches with your torch and aligning different items to progress, nothing too difficult or frustrating… and you can enter any temple at any time when you feel you need a break from exploring. unless I discovered the wrong thing There are multiple caves hidden on these islands containing spirit animals and tablets to give you more back story… but where there’s some traditional gameplay is within this games 3 temples… Each are fairly short to complete, the longest taking me about 20 minutes. though im convinced one of the trophies are bugged for discovering an ancient battlefield. But this only happened once… the game is otherwise pretty bug free. no hard or frustrating puzzles… you simply fly uncovering islands, secrets and knowledge and explore these islands and hidden caves and temples on foot flying feels intuitive and smooth, though I did get stuck in a rock while landing, forcing me to back out to the main menu and lose the island uncovering progress made since my last save.
